I hit a bad stretch of road on Labor Day and my truck has been shuddering when I hit bumps (more than usual). Finally found the culprit, the spare tire was loose. Not real loose but I could move it around by hand. About a quarter turn on the lowering screw took care of it.

Still got some shuddering so I did some comparison between the left and right shock and it appears the passenger side has internally failed. Now what to do. Do I drop it off for a week at the local dealer? Or do I buy an aftermarket shock? This is when I climb on my soap box. I've bought 80+ vehicles and can tell you why the American car industry has failed, their service department sucks to no end. Sure the shock should not have failed, but the hassles I go through to remedy this problem makes me regret buying American. Have you heard this one " did you purchase a rental car agreement when you purchased your $47000 truck, You F**ken d**ksmacks.

Wallenator if you are under 12,000 miles they should just chck it and order ya one , and call you when it comes in, or thats how they should handle it.
Of course you could ask Dragon on here also he is at a dealer also

All you got to do is burn a weeks vacation and sit in the waiting room while they hack at you $47000 BMW priced vehicle and come up with, you should have purchased the loner car package. God D**n Mother F**king In bread Sons O f B**ches this is the reason the American car maker are failing bastards. I don't deserve to be treated like this.
