'shutter' at idle

thought it was normal... but talked to a few guys and they say there truck is very smooth at idle.

my tach doesn't move but the truck itself shutters at idle... assumed it was from the cam or something. it isn't consistant and goes away when you rev it up. also my shifter vibrates at idle aswell... actually it's kind of always vibrating. rebuilt tranny, and new clutch. couldnt remember if it vibrated before the rebuild too. it also vibrates quite a bit when in 5th at higher speeds.

anyways, should i be concerned? how smooth is your truck at idle? and any vibration through the shifter?

My truck has a bit of a shake at idle along with shifter vibe as well. I haven't been to concerned myself, idle on tach stays steady, goes away when rev'd up. I really think its just the nature of the beast.
