STS-126 Shuttle flight to the ISS is set to launch @ 7:55pm EST tonight! This will be a NIGHT LAUNCH  I've only seen one other night launch and it was spectacular.

If your close, well, it's probably to late to make it here.... :( Traffic is horrific out this way already. :argh: But, keep your eyes to the EAST! :)

Tellem' to wait. I can be there in about eight hours. A night shot would be incredible to see.

I'll try to get some pics.... but my camera sucks, and can't keep up with it. :(

Totally envious Jake!

I remember in Grade 4 watching the first shuttle take off and land on a crappy 20" bleached out television. But I was in the front row. :)

We really need to do a GTG for one of the final launches...... EVERYONE should see it live at least once in their life. It would be cool to make it to the observation area (at KSC), but there are LOTS of great places to watch it. The Observation Center will be PACKED for the last few.... hell, it's packed now. If anything, I think a BIG cookout and viewing area could be my backyard and everyone can just stay here. :dontknow:  :)

Check my airmiles.... YUP!!!!!

I'm in! That would be a amzing night. I would love to be there especially since it's snowing outside... :(

btw, congrats on the contract Jake...

Thanks, Buddy.... It's going to be a long road, but should be good stuff. :)

Let me know when you can make it down.... I'll do some research on future launches and start a new thread on a GTG in the next few weeks. We could try to shoot for a night launch.... but, NASA is a little fickle with it's dates/launch-times.

I have only seen the shuttle launch once, but it was at night. It was cool watching in arc around the horizon.

Bill.

Well!!???
:needpics:

I KNOW you are right next to the launch pad! Where are the pics!!??!?!

I realized too late that it was today, I was stuck at work....
