I've got several options I've been mulling over in my head concerning the upcoming SickSRT.com website. And keep in mind these are only options and I'd like to get some input before I make any decisions
It seems there's some pretty good interest in hosting pics from other people's rides and I'm all down with this, its just a question of how far do I really want to go with this.
First option: Just set up my truck's info and set aside a secton to put other people's custom rides.
Second option: Set up a stand alone php image gallery (Very much like what I have set up at http://asmal.net/coppermine/index.php) where people can sign up and post pictures and videos and descriptions of their trucks themselves and it's open to everyone with a SRT-10 Truck. Very user friendly.
Third option: Same as second option but leave it open to anyone with a SRT vehicle (or other worth vehicle with suficient custom work)
Fourth option: Set up an entire new community site, just like I have set up at www.GoblinNation.com. The site setup there allows users a MASSIVE amount of features and theres a lot more that I cut out of that setup. Some of the main features include; Forums with a massive ammount of features, Site and User Albums so people can post whatever form of media, Web logs (which would be useful to a truck forum for keeping a mod log and mod progress etc), nick pages which serve as a sort of "about page" or a personal page for the user. All sorts of bells and whistles. HOWEVER I have no intention of trying to compete with the forums here which is why I've been trying for the longest to see if anyone had interest in a different setup. Nor would I have the time to devote to moderating it.
