what if you get glass where the tint is actually IN the glass? they can't make you scrape that off. ;)

No, they will force you to replace the windows in that case (not on the spot of course)
Belgium is very keen on regulations and paperwork, especially when it comes down to car tuning. If the mod is allowed you better have the paperwork to back it up (manufacturer's certificate, installation certificate etc) :mad:

If I want a tint, the only alternative is to use a CERTIFIED foil or coating.
Costwise these are the same so I'm gonna go for the last one...:rock:

The reason I was explained by an officer of the law was the reason your not allowed to have tinted side windows is for safety reasons of if you got into an accident and you cracked your mellon on the window it won't shatter to prevent major head injury,they are suppose to shatter to absorbe impact to prevent head injury,thats what I was told!

on normal cars that's the reason they tell over here too. You can't apply anything to the windows which could change the function of the glass (not cracking on inpact). Another thing why you can't go for a DARK tint is for safety reasons (of the police officer) since you can't see what's going on anymore.

Strange enough it's allowed for 'commercial vehicles' like our trucks.:rock: :dontknow: :D

PS better had marked them "my side" and " wife's side" ... now it's gonne be trial and error... and nobody is gonne be able to help you on install as you don't see no more trough them... :dontknow: :confused:

PS "my side" is the one with the steering wheel = round thing for moving the wheels , front wheels .....:p :D :D :D :D
