Can anybody offer a valid explanation for this?
I have been having Sirius radio problems off and on for about the past four months. The dealer has replaced the RB4 and the Sirius box (all factory installed along with U-Connect & Homelink) with no luck. The dealer asked me to roll the truck in when I was having the problem.
So yesterday I roll into the dealer with no Sirius. It goes back to the tech who starts tracing the harness from the radio receiver (in the dash) down the passenger side to the Sirius box under the rear seat and then up to the antenna. Guess what he finds?
TWO HARNESSES! One in use and the other is dead. Any ideas why I have two harnesses? Did the factory quit one day just after the harness was installed and put another in the next day?
(Although two harnesses doesn't seem to affect the operation and/or problem of the radio, it was discovered the live one was chaffed.) Curious minds want to know!
