so we meet this morning, this guy was real cool, a real great guy to meet and race.. he won just about every race, a couple of times I missed third and on the second race from a dig I just spun through first and the gave up because if he got infront of me at all there was no catching him, his truck is fast and looks real clean. I NEED SOME MODS

Its awesome that you guys can go out and have fun like that...thats what its all about :)

As for racing...seems like he has you pretty much the whole time. Both have some sweet trucks!

Now go get a blower and it will be fair LOL

Did you miss 3rd? What speeds or how far did y'all run. Looked liked you only did 1/8 mile runs for the first few. Are you sure about his mods? Anyway good race and I hope it was all in fun.

we did 2 from a dig, and then i think the one i did win was from a 20 roll, then we did another roll but forget from what speed , maybe he will chime in,,,hes really cool guy ,it looked like he had ram air, upgraded upper pully and exaust.

Yep... I could see the pully from the movie. Looks like a 4 lb upper, JLP ram air, and exhaust. That also means he has a tuner on there as well (probley an XCal2). He should be running about 425RWHP or so... maybe more, depending on who tuned him.

yea i forgot he said something about a tuner and having it tuned
, but i think he said the upper pully only gave him 1 more pd of boost

They don't make a "1LB" pulley. ;) The uppers come in 4, 6, and 8. ... He could also have a lower pulley on there too (They also come in 4, 6, and 8).

They are just a label tho really... My "4LB" lower pulley actually gave me 5-6LBS of extra boost. :dontknow:

As for my truck it's got a 2.8 upper pully (good for about 1-2 psi of boost), JLP CAI, Mac catback, and a custom dyno tune from Johnny Lightning Performance, homemade ram air (dryer hose) 386/470 when all is said and done.

Break down of the runs stick recorded, raced from a dig got him both times ( we both were spinning and left some nice amrks of it!), first roll race was from 20 and he got me by about a truck maybe 3/4 a truck (auto = kickdown late) fixed that the next few runs, went from 20 again and then from 40, and then from 50. I have video footage of this as well and i'll post it back tomorrow, it has a few more races. I was impressed with how well the SRT10's perform, when he starts modding he's going to force me to throw on a lower crank pulley and give steigemeier a call :burnout:
 
Great pic's. I was wondering how many miles is on stick's truck? Sharp looking Lightening and it sure pulls hard. Was parking at a Cosco today and saw an L, backed into a spot so I backed in next to him. Damn ford for killing it off. Guess we're all history.:(
 
i have 7806 on the odometer, yea spyders truck is bad ass,,,, and yea i forgot to say that his ram air is homemade , it really is a dryer hose,,,,,,,,,,crazy rednecks down here in fl:rock: :rock:
 
The dryer hose ram air intake really does work tho. I use it for the track and na it gave me 3 whole tenths. With the nitrous I havent really seen much of a difference but I did run an 8.228 @ 82.27 with it. Both of you have awesome trucks. Those lightnings are by far my favorite ford truck ever, I would buy one, those things are bada$$!!

That sounds about right, my 04L all stock made 351/455 stock. on 2 different dynos.. They run well, however they weigh less, 18" wheels, etc..

Mine made 350/44x all stock. So another 30ish hp isn't that much faster than a stock L. If I get beat when he mods his truck I have a few things left up my sleeve for stick!
