finally got sick of the puke green lighting dodge loves to use for its dash and such so slowly been removing it.

climate controls

lights switch

removed and upgraded the lights on the drink tray they turned out a bit brighter than i expected.

with any luck next month i will be doing the gauge cluster

Hey man can you maybe write up a "how to" on this? Ive been wanting to do this since I got the truck.

first 2 are simply soldered in replacement led's i have some pictures of it i can post let me find them. the tray i simply pulled out below your radio and that there is a small connector and a plate that just slides out with 2 led's in it. i clipped the wire and put in 2 flat smd led's and put them on the reverse plastic dont really have a picture of it but all of a 2-3 minute install once the wires are connected.

climate control when you take it apart.

you can see there are 3 bulbs soldered to it i removed 2 and replaced them with led's with resistors (i have about a 100 bulbs so i just used what i had)

you can see my 2 led's i added there left the 3rd bulb since it just lights up the slider which is already colored blue and red so this way it stays lit the same.

here is the light switch once you pull the back off it.

and same thing replaced the bulb with a led/resistor that i had here.

here is the picture of the original light for the drink try but i pretty much removed it completly and connected into the wires with a pair of these.

Oh wow..thats awesome man. I know NOTHING about that kinda stuff and I would for sure mess it all up. Im gonna look more into it and use your pictures to help, thanks for posting that!!

so far all the bulbs i already had so cost has been free. did upgrade the ones on the drink holder think i went a hair to bright on them. i thought i posted but looks like i didnt.

you can definitely see my drink tray now lol.

got it back together pictures isnt that great but you can see lighted start button the lighted climate controls and the drink tray.
