SMOG cert for superchargers

If I understand this correctly, the only reason superchargers are not legal in CA is because the company didn't pay millions to get it certified?

So the only issues would be when you smog it, it wouldn't pass a visual test and if you get pulled over and they check your engine.

What would be the remedy? Don't get pulled over and make friends with a smog tech?

I have ZERO experience with smog testing but from what i've read on internet forums, it seems like most techs can be persuaded with a few green papers...

It all depends on the SC. for example: I believe the novi 2000 is smog legal in Cali.
