Smoked tails and inspection?

Hey guys... I just bought a set of smoked tail lights off of BOOMER...

Do you think that my truck will pass inspection in NJ with these tail lights on?

I would think so because all of the bulbs, etc. work... But my dad seems to think differently...

I have to get it inspected on August 1st... But my tails will be here on the 17th of this month... So I have to take mine off and send them right back to him...

I can't... I just bought this RC yesterday... and I am waiting to get my registration transfer from my QC I just traded in.

I can't get it inspected without a registration to present...

So do you guys think dark tail lights will present problem?

If they are DOT approved then you shouldn't have a problem. Are they aftermarket or does Boomer modify a stock set? Not familiar with this mod. Big Dave

Yes, Gary modify's the stock set... I guess he sprays the lense or somthing...

I just don't want to get dicked out of an inspection sticker because of smoked tails...

smoked tails are illegal in NJ. You will get a ticket if you are pulled over. I've been pulled over 2 times with mine(no tickets but got my balls broken ) You will not pass inspection with them. Tinted headlights, tails, front windows are all a no no.

I can't imagine that they would pass in Jersey. I used to dread going to the inspection stations there, at least until my Uncle got a job at the one in Washington Twsp., made things much easier. I wouldn't even try to get them passed though.
