A good friend of mine with a 3G Eclipse 6cyl Turbo and I raced today. Here is his list.

It went like this During a recent race at the “trackâ€￾ Andre and myself launched from a rolling 20. We were both frustrated by the inherent tirespin our traction limited nearly 1000 combined horsepower vehicles incurred. Feathering the throttle to maintain traction I underestimated my opponent. I tryed to stay beside him at part throttle, I thought I could punch it and then pull away, when I decided it was time to teach him something I was stricken by a rev limiter that came to fast and for the first time second was stubborn. I watched him pull away. We let off at 80 and he had 3 lengths on me. Me accepting defeat but asking for another go he slowed to 20 where we waited for the third horn blow to launch. Blowing the tires loose, first and second gear it was more of a race of who could get traction first. Spinning bumper to bumper at 50 we both hooked, but his turbo spooling its ass off allowed him the pleasure of letting me catch a glimps of his finely tuned little puff of black smoke coming out the back of that beast while I played catch up. Third gear proved faithful as I stopped the onslaught of ownage as I maintained 2 lengths for some distance but my snake wouldn’t close the gap. 5300 pounds proved too much, as I did not have the power to chase him down.
 
Shit like this is what makes it hard for me to take peoples advice, and spend 20k on a engine BEFORE get a roe supercharger. Im now the second fastest guy in my shop and its weighing heavy on my shoulders. HELP!
 
that 20k engine is better suited in a car...called "Viper"

do yourself a favor and dont line up against one ever!!!

in all honestly, with all the work hhas done to that car, you did pretty good!!!
 
If you do heads & cam, and he's toast.

In all honesty there is alway going to be someone faster than you.

If you're really that set on beating this guys 100 shot of NOS will do the trick on a limited budget.
 
I lost to a dann turbo civic:mad: so i fell your pain..... 20 mph roll to 110 he pull 2 cars on me (I was driving my rc.).. but he's a very good driver.... 3 month later.. saw him at rockingham dragway.. and beat him... 13.11 and he run a 13.31:rock: but this time I had stage 2 and full exhaust... and also pull a bus lengh on him in a 20mph roll....:rock:
 
That DSM has got huge $$$ in it...if you spent the same amount of money on yours you'd be squintin' to see 'em in your rear view...

You're also probably close to a full ton heavier...

You listed all the work he had done. But the one thing you left out, and the most important thing is, how much boost is he running? He has a very impressive list. The turbo, the TO4, I would also like to know which TO4 it is. TO4R, TO4E, makes a big difference. Im willing to bet he was running low boost messing with you. IF he'e running a TO4R, if he turns the boost up, you might as well get use to looking at his tail lights.

Looking at the mods you have, I dont know if this is all you have done or not. If thats all you have, dont race him anymore, he's going to keep wearing you out. Seriously, I think hes playing with you. You might want to check into which turbo and how much boost he is running.

I'm not sure that I'd list that as a mod.
It's sort of like saying, "10mm bolt".

For a better assessment of the vehicles and what they're each capable of, do this:
- Race is to Home Depot and back.
- Racer must pick up (3) full 4'x8' sheets of 3/4" plywood.
- First one back with all plywood intact wins.

get yourself some long tube headers and a sct tuner
 
why are you so down if I was your friend I would be pissed I couldn't walk away on you. Your pretty much stock except exhaust so don't be down be happy it wont cost you as much to smoke him once you do mods, he'll have to redo his motor to handle more boost to beat you, don't forget there is always tommorow. Litemup is right there is always someone stronger faster and bigger but we always have room to grow, plus your pushing 5000lbs not 3k.

ThATS NOT FUNNY I STARTED OUT WITH 6 4X8'S AND WHEN I GOT BACK I ONLY HAD FOUR HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE HELL THE OTHER 2 WENT THERE WAS 6 WHEN I LEFT.LOL one word of advice this truck doesn't like lumber in the back it spit it out.:rock: :rock: :rock: :D :D :D :D
