Very good info from ARSKA2. FYI, I had put an aftermarket throttle body on my other ram with a 4.7 in it (2004 also), and had to do a similar procedure to get it to run properly. And it has a manual. Not a shift issue obviously, but an idling down when foot comes off the throttle.
