Hey guys, I am going start attending to a college, Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, MA on next monday, July 16. I am currently live in Ashland, MA. I am going stay home and will use my truck as a transportation from home to college and to home from college. I recently looked at the maqquest. It said it is 36 minutes and 15.78 miles from my home to UTI. I am trying to figure out the math how much will it cost me for gas. It cost me $80 to full the gas tank. I will be going to UTI everday which means 5 days in one week. How much will it cost me for one month? I need to start a new payment plan. Thanks guys.
 
How many miles per gallon do you typically get? You should be able to check the trip computer and find out.

I dont think if my trip computer is telling me correct. I checked it often and it never change. It only show 12mpg on both street and highway. :dontknow:

Hey Tyler, Try getting on the freeway, Put it in cruise control reset the computer and watch it for awhile. See if you get a different reading.:dontknow:

You should be able to squeek out 300 miles from a tank of gas. Sounds like you're daily minimum miles to travel are 31.5 round trip. This means you will need to fill up at least every 9 days. My guess is that you will go through a full tank every week. So you should be okay by putting aside $80 a week to pay for gas. However, if you're like me, you use 91 Octane gas and run your tank deep into E for empty, and you drive the piss out of your truck every time you hop in, then you only get 7.7mpg on average. So at 7.7 mpg of 91 Octane at $3.15 per gallon, I would spend $200 per week to drive to and from school every day. So somewhere in the middle ($140 a week) is most likely what you should plan for to be safe.

So my final/best guess/pulled it out of my ass answer is $140 a week!!! There are way too many variables to give you a solid answer though. Results may vary:star:
 
If you drive really conservatively (slow) it is possible that you get 12mpg. If that is the case, and you fill up for $80, then I think you could survive on $50 per week. WOW! I'm jealous of your ability to control your right foot if you are getting 12mpg.

Lol. Well I wont be on the highway everday to my college. I will be driving through the forests. So I am guessing I will be getting 12mpg everdays. Most of the time I always drive until the gas are empty then full it up. Maybe I will try to driving until the gas are at half of the tank then I will fill it up to full.

you have to figure in how much money you will be spending on the chicks once they know you have the fastest truck on campus.

Oh yeah!! You are absolutely right about that! I better start figure in how much money I need for the chicks. Lol. :D
 
Yeah No Kidding than it will be 20.00 round trip. Damn Kid Just take the Bus its probably cheaper.:rock:
 
Have you seen the chicks he would meet on the bus??? I say eat top ramen (real cheap) and drive the truck. Hell starve if you have to as long as you have the energy to bang the hot chicks you pull in with the truck.
