South Central TX GTG....

i could do that date! how much is the entry fee? i could just get a motel room in sequin.
 
The midnight madness has a link off of SAR's website I believe the entry fee is $10...
 
So, are we trying to narrow down a date now, to like Nov. 10th. Anything near Thanksgiving might be harder to get people together becouse of the holiday. If so I can make it out that weekend. Also for those that haven't been to midnight Madness, it's on one Saturday a month, run what ya brung style street racing, it is lots of fun, tons of cars show up, but only draw back is you might only get a few runs due to the high number of racers. But for only $10 you can beat it. I think they still do a sign up for grudge matches, so if you call someone out and win, you get a grudge match trophy. :rock:

So what was the outcome of this thread? Is there going to be a meeting in this month or did it just get dropped. I am new to this site and am enjoying the people here but am definitely looking for some local contacts and members. I see some military influence on the board, anyone at lackland?
 
I'm currently stationed at Lackland, and I don't know about the 10th the old lady and I are on the outs!!!
 
Sorry to hear about the wife how long have you been stationed here at lackland?

I have been here since May of 03' and the date is up to everyone they only have a midnight madness once a month. Some others have said that due to it popularity the track is very busy. You guys can check out the San Antonio Raceway site and let me know and I will try to attend.
 
This doesn't have to be an official GTG, seems some interest has been lost, but since I'm local I'm still planning on going to MM, looks like it will be busy as hell due to another event going on, Texasprostocks has about 16 cars coming, but It should be quit a show though. Will have long lines, so you might get a few passes for the night. I'm going more to watch the races and just get a few passes on the side. Oh, and our local tuning shop Mike Murillo has is sick mustang up and running, and was featured at SEMA recently. I think he is testing and tuning early that afternoon. For those that were here last GTG, you know that thing is a monster. Also, I plan to go to Biffs Busby's on Friday for the local hot rod GTG.

This Saturday will be another great race for the Midnight Madness Show. Midnight Madness is Texas largest street legal gathering and San Antonio Raceway is the place to be once a month. This month we will be having special guest The Texas Pro Stock association. They will be putting on a 16-car field of pure throttle no bottle rockets. In addition to the Texas Pro Stocks we will have all the warrior classes along with 30 Trophy’s up for grabs to the first 30 grudge races. Midnight Madness is always full of surprise racers and this month we are hoping to see Mike Murillos new car out for the first time. This bad boy is capable of running in the 6 second zone at over 200 mph, once it gets all lined out. Only time will tell, but if he makes it out it will be something to see for sure.
Gates open at 8pm we race till 2am and $10.00 for anyone racing or watching.
