Hey guys, being that I'm a broke a$$ college student I had a question about the spark plugs for these trucks. I'm trying to get as much out of the stockers as possible and Ive read that they are good until around 30k miles. I'm approaching this and was wondering what is the most miles some of you guys have gotten out of your stock plugs? Thanks guys:rock:

Had 20k on my stockers. Changed them and also indexed them. Guess what, I couldn't tell a bit of difference:dontknow:

Got 42k on mine before I put in some new ones and indexed those.
After this my truck was not as noisy like before and it had a more nice sound from the engine. It was not just me that heard that, also my friends and my parents said that. I did notice any big changing in performance.

I dont know if it is personal preference, but I dont hear alot of good things about champion. My friend who owns a shop likes Autolite better. dunno

I changed mine at 40,000. They looked perfect too. Even the gap was in spec. WAIT AWHILE! You will learn some NEW language when you change them. They are a real $%&# to change. Unless you are getting a misfire code of feel any roughness, I would wait awhile maybe 45,000 then chage them. Make sure you twist the boots loose first before you remove the wires or you will break the wire internally and then you will have to remove the intake to replace the damaged wires. Best to wait untill 45,000 miles.
Just my 2 cents,
500H V10

That is my thoughts too about Champion. But I did buy those because they are stock in the truck. Those I took out also seemed good and had a nice color.

l'm REALLY not looking forward to doing mine...l'm running a Paxton, so l need NGK's at $6 each, and you think changing plugs on a stocker is hard? l've got to try to navigate around all the Paxton crap on the passenger side, on top of having headers...gonna need several beers
