Ok well after my truck went haywire I thought it had something to do with the radio harness and it did! I removed it and all my problems went away.
However yesterday on a short ride I noticed my brake light and parking brake light indicators on the dash cluster turn on, followed by my speedometer not working and dropping to 0. This morning on the way to the office it did the same thing for about 5 minutes then the lights went away and the speedometer worked again.... I can not figure out for the life of me what is going on:dontknow: :dontknow:

If I can't get this problem solved I am going to consider selling this truck...as much as I love it I have never had one vehicle give me so many non-mechanical problems:mad:

Anyone else with a similar problem??? I just don't have the patience for things like this and don't know what else to do

I had that happen when I installed my new stereo. It ended up being a bad ground. All my gauges dropped and lights came on. Fixed the ground and everything was good to go.

But I removed my radio and my factory radio is in now but it's still doing it? It does it on and off, more often it's off, than it is on:dontknow: :dontknow:

Maybe the problem in the new HID wiring man. Did you check those wires? I'm no electrician, but seems like that could be a possibility.

There's not much to wire....It was a resistor coming from each factory light harness into the ballast and from the ballast it connects into HID bulb....basically the wires and power is all from the factory harness.....
I spoke to a Vipertech and he said the speedometer issue he has seen before but it usually only happens after a high speed run (which I haven't done lately) it sometimes confuses the computer???
