so earlier today i'm out in the middle of nowhere and i punch it, pulling through 5th. at about 110-115 the speedo stops moving then i back out of it a little and it starts jumping up and down about +/- 5mph. i get back in it and it does the same thing. what gives?

I know when the sensor on the top of the rear end housing is failing it will cause the same problem on the regular 1500. The Srt uses the same type sensor so that would be a good place to start, unless you have already found a solution.:dontknow:

just used the sct to check dtc's. shows P1687. i saw in the sticky thread its no cluster bus message. what is that? is that the sensor OSO mentioned?

That will be a fun one to find unless one of the connectors on the cluster is coming unpluged. Has anyone ever pulled the cluster, alarm install etc...?

more then likely to just be a failing instrument cluster....As a tech, sometimes you just have to use some shotgun diagnosis based on experience
