I've been reading about this little boy on a local forum for the past several months. He suffered a near drowing experience earlier this year. Due to lack of oxygen, he's suffered some brain damage. It's going to take lots of (expensive) care to address the boy's situation. I've never met the boy's parents, nor the little boy. Jack and I attended a benefit car-show this past summer to support their cause. It's truly a sad story. :( :)

I recently felt compelled to check the status of the little boy (Brayden), and just read where Family and Children Services is harassing them.

Anyways, please take a moment and read the webpage dedicated to hom and say a prayer for the boy and his family. I encourage you to donate if you feel compelled to do so. :)

Lord Jeeziss kidz,

I think that this deserved at least a reply........ So I'm posting and bumping this.....

God bless this poor kid and his loved ones....

The good news is, it looks like the harrasing parties closed their case after the family retained an attorney  What a crock of shit that they have to be harrassed on top of everything they are going through. It looks like little Brayden gets his surgery in the middle of the month and has his birthday tomorrow!!

I'm starting a birthday thread for him

God Bless Brayden

The only thing I will say is we are only hearing one side of the story.

However, that does not mean I'm not praying the little guy fully recovers.

That is truly sad, and I hope that this kid can somehow make a full recovery.

But I have to say it, there is no excuse for leaving a 16 month old kid unattended anywhere near a swimming pool, none. In fact, that pool should have either been covered or fenced, probably both. I am sure that they are living with some terrible guilt, for good reason.

Thanks guys. I'm sure it means a great deal to the family and the little one.

I have to agree though. Leaving a child of that age unattended anywhere near a swimming pool wasn't the best thing to do. I'm sure we all know it wasn't the parent's intent for anything horrific to come from it either. However, we can't dwell on that. What's done is done. :)

I hope the child receives a full uneventful recovery.
