I have searched the net and it seems allot of people have come across this issue, but no one has explained how to solve it. So as the subject reads. Has anyone here experience a squeaky QA1 shock? And if so what was done to rectify this issue?

well maybe try to spray some lube on the shaft and see what happens?
The thing i am looking at is why is the shock doing that? Sounds like a bad shock to me. Lube it all you want, It's still a bad shock.:dontknow:

What I have found out so far is that some of the QA1's do this. Their service center said that they have seen a few, Said it was something on the inside that is resignating (sp) due to oil flow. It only does it when adjusted above 6 clicks. The QA1 certified service company said that the shocks should be run around 4 or 5 clicks out for normal street driving. I explained that this is on a 6000 lb truck. He said it did not matter. He said if you have to run it above 6 then the springs are too soft. :dontknow: So far now they are off the truck until I get this figured out.

thats the reason I suggest keeping the bilstiens, the QA1's or any other aftermarket shock needs to be valved for our trucks, you can send them back to them and they will revalve them , but an adjustable shock shouldnt have to go over 5-8 clicks for normal driving .

depends too on which leaf spring front coil spring combination you are running also.
the reason why I want sell a normal hemi spring that mcguahy, belltech, or any of the other lowering kit guys do, they are the wrong rate of spring , way too soft, thus you end up having to max out an adjustable shock, or it overworks the oem shock
suspensionn is a combination of everything together, if you are going to the road course its totally different from a set up of a drag car, and between the two of them you comprimise reg road drivability, its all a trade off, but the support components must work in conjunction with each other, the shocks, springs, bags, whatever your running
