Hey Haulin, When do you estimate to have "Rattle Snake" spraying some venom??
What is something like that worth?ctsrt10 said:I Have a nasty little cummins that i may sell for puts down 813 and well over 1900fttq but its the whole truck, peirs twins, blue chip, its a 2001 with 81,000 on it
yes, it would be cheaper....in the short run. in the long run it will be cheaper to actually buy the srt-10 and do the swap. The reason being? The frame. The hemi frame will twist and break under the massive tq you can easily make with the cummins. it might last at first, but after time, all you'll end up with is a badass motor in a pile of junk. the srt is built on the 2500 frame which tells me it can take whatever a normal cummins can take power/torque wise.BurntRubber said:wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a hemi ram and then do the conversion?
I'd like to do a CR. There's a guy that has a truck for sale that puts down 800+hp and 1400+ ft/lbs of torque. it has everything needed to run at that level safely. i've been trying to get him to sell me the motor/trans/fuel system/and all supporting mods like compounds etc...and just return his truck back to stock. he won't bite though. haha. if you want or have time, i'll send you a list of everything he has done, and you could see how much money i'd be looking at spending to match that setup. i'd like to buy from him though, b/c it would be MUCH cheaper buying a complete package from him.HaulinAsp said:What are your plans- 12V? 24V? or CR? I have connections on either..... Let me know if ya need to locate one.![]()

You know, i'm not really sure, that was actually the whole reason for this post. haha. But, i did plan on going with an 06 if i can get one for a good price. I absolutely love the new body style srt-10's!!BurntRubber said:there was always alot of confusion about this, I thought the 06 SRT10 was on the 2500 frame only. Then others said the whole frame was changed for 06 and the 1500 & 2500 are the same frame in 06.
05 QC has a 1500 frame i thought?

btw, does anyone else have anything to comment on the frames?? Just in case i don't get an 06, i do wand to make sure i'm not wasting my money (no offense, i LOVE srt-10's) by buying somthing that has the same frame as my 04' hemi.
RC. yea, i saw that, but i don't have anywhere near the money for that kind of build. haha. the truck is getting an auto, so match that with 800rwhp and over 1400ft/lbs to the ground. this same combo yeilded a 128mph trap speed in the 1/4 mile in 6300lbs. with around 5300lbs, i'm hoping for around 132-133mph trap speeds on #2 only and 137+mph trap speeds on a small shot of nitrous(if i decide to use it, but DON'T plan on it) Those times should be good for low 10's on diesel only (if i get traction and the rear holds up) and be able get into the nines with nitrous if i decide to spray, which nines arent that important to spray though.BurntRubber said:Are you going to get a RC or QC?
Doms 05 RC is pushing out 1400 hp
Check into some of the wrecked trucks- I came across some light fixes that would be cheaper than outright purchasing one off a lot and save money by telling these places you don't want the engine/trans.....badblackhemi said:yes, it would be cheaper....in the short run. in the long run it will be cheaper to actually buy the srt-10 and do the swap.
