Are you ready to take the next step? You participated in the SRT Track Experience. Now, SRT is offering you the opportunity to take your driving skill to the next level through its SRT Advanced Driving School, a one-day, advanced driving experience taking place Sunday, July 30, at the Daytona International Speedway.
When you sign up for the SRT Advanced Driving School, you'll receive one-on-one driver training from Skip Barber instructors. You'll get plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share your comments throughout the day Additionally, all the exercises you complete that day are based on the same ones used by Skip Barber at its three-day racing schools. We've just condensed it into one incredible day. Also included as part of the day are:

* Advanced classroom instruction
* Extensive skid pad and handling training
* Performance autocross sessions
* Competition braking and cornering techniques
* Heel-n-toe downshifting instruction
* Maximum seat time with trained professionals

And there's more! The small class size (24 maximum) allows for intensive training with hours of actual driving time.
The cost for the one-day SRT Advanced Driving School is $1,400 per person. It's more than the SRT Track Experience--but you get so much more in return.

The deadline for signing up for the July 30 event is Friday, July 14. But since there are only 24 spaces available, don't wait or you might miss out completely.
So call today. To register, or for more information, contact SRT Advanced Driving School headquarters at 1-800-998-1110. We look forward to seeing you there.

Daytona.....?.....

Yikes.....

I have done the Skip Barber schools....for $1400 I would look elsewhere.....they just blah....blah....blah....all day.....slow down....don't pass the guy doing 63 mph on the back straight away....now we are going to teach you how to adjust your mirrors......What really pissed me off is they replaced the viper hot laps with SRT-4s.......:mad:

Appreciate your input...I got the invitation and was tempted...your opinion matters to me.

I've gotten quite the opposite from the S.Barber guys in my SRT Track Experiences (2 so far). "You can go faster." seemed to be the sentence of the day.
On my 2nd 'tour' the first line out of the director's mouth was, "This is not your car, and thse are not your tires.". :)

Oh, and they took the Viper out of the Track Drive (not the HotLaps).
Probably because too many clowns used to driving little SRT-4's were wrecking them. LOL
They were replaced by the Chargers.

Oh, and for HotLaps now, they also have a Competition Coupe.
Nothin' like a car that has a front air dam you can shave with.

I got to ride in that Comp Coupe, let me tell you I sure would like to have one. What a great toy that would make.

I'm gonna do the SRT Track Experience in October in Laguna Seca, how did you guys like it?

It was a blast really. Just ask the OL, she got to put a viper into the grass in a spin LOL.
It wasn't the yellow one, was it? :)

Here's my post from my first time at the event in 2005 (on another forum) complete with pics:

The vehicle lineup has changed a bit, but the format is the same. A few of the drivers have rotated out of the SRT program too. Skip Barber does things like this for a bunch of manufactuers, so the drivers rotate between programs. Nice job, eh? LOL

During Hot Laps, when John (Mefford?) drove the Comp. Coupe, we'd watch the regular Vipers come over the hill on the back straight, and then watch the Comp. Coupe pass them like they were putting change in a meter. It's a sick little ride (and apparently street legal!).

If you go, you'll have fun.

Not even close to street legal i'm afraid.They don't even have VINs. Its a P/N for Mopar! ;)

I was really hoping to do a hot lap in the CC at the Experience. It was GREAT GREAT fun. i loved it.

The yellow one that lost the left front?

Ouch! I drove that yellow one in Vegas.

The SRT Track Experience is a hoot! I've been twice. But, be careful! After the last one I came home and was compelled to buy my SRT8 Jeep.
