SRT or Cummins

I have decided the hell with the cummins and to go with the srt. Nothin wrong with having a viper motor in a truck. My only concern is the trans, i have read a lot of the posts on the trns and thats my only concern. I do not think with the few mods I plan on doing to start off I will run into any problems but down the road something tells me im gonna wanna run some boost either supercharged or turbo. Besides the changing fluids often what else is recommended. i plan on getting the stage 2 tune.

The auto isn't really THAT problematic, no more so than in the diesel if you start modding. As long as you don't add a supercharger or nitrous you just need to get the bands adjusted and I highly recommend the solenoid mod, there is a thread about it in the Modifications section of the forum.

I sold an 04.5 Cummins for my SRT, discovered I really did need a true truck for towing heavy etc and bought an 06 Cummins dually stick shift. I put a high horsepower programmer on the diesel and just ordered a $1,300 clutch for it as the stocker is fried. Plus labor to install. The cummins motor will take all the mods you want but the driveline (stick or auto) will not.
