Buddy asked me today what a 150 Nitrous Express or ZEX kit will allow him to do. Here is a SRT 10 RC before and after. The tune for the 150 SHot has less timing than the all motor run. Very safe way to run, especially since nitrous is a intercooler.

What other mods to the truck? What kit is that NX or ZEX? What N20 jets are being used (#'s on the jets)? Pump gas? Why are you using uncorrected dyno #'s, what are the SAE #'s, so they are comparable?
Justin

Nitrous express shark nozzle kit with a 64-65 pill from memory. Yes, 93 octane and uncorrected (measured) was what I used last on the dyno, so that is what comes up the next time I open it.

What other mods on the truck? Single nozzle kit correct? N20 makes huge torque, exactly what these big trucks need!

justin,

are those numbers in your sig corrected ?

do you do anything to the engine like forged pistons/rods or is it stock ?

Justin's truck is right at 790rwtq and he is all stock internals:rock: I'm bettin ricey is stock too:D

The factory build is incredibly strong for a powdermetal crack rod, actually a 6.1 Hemi piston too, so 700-800tq divided among 10 cylinders is safe as long as the air fuel is 12 or less. The ZEX or Nitrous Express kit we use here is set up for 35 shot to 150 shot (125 on the Zex) and extras such as a purge or bottle warmer can be bought too. I am in Florida, so a bottle warmer and purge are not must, (CNC technology is 10 times what it was 8 years ago) but north of the mason-dixon line, you should consider it to keep the bottle pressure around 1000psi.

I am also a vendor for Wilson Manifolds, one of the best nitrous outfits on the rock. If you want a direct port 10 nozzle kit hidden under the manifold, these guys have done it for me before.

Nitrous is about one thing and one thing only....torque.

Make sure when you start installing your kit, use a Air Ratio gauge or get to a dyno, load your safe timing SCT program to test, then up the power level.

100% stock longblock and yes SAE corrected#'s. Im still curious what other mods are on that truck?
Justin

The old Mopar headers, with the small 2.5" outlet, true dual dynamax exhaust 3" and SCT with a generic CAI.

Yes, the first pull was base, then added a second nitrous program on the SCT with the nitrous.

those are the highest stock NA #'s i've seen by at least 20hp, i wonder why ?

also wonder if you were on stock tire for your run or drag radials ? :
"BEST ET 11.30 BEST MPH 119.7
All on pump gas/radials"

PBJ tune and a good bolt-ons combo I would guess, a stock RC truck baselined 426 WHP on the same dyno about a month ago, so its not like it reads high, always SAE, smoothing 5#'s which are the lowest you'll get on a dynojet. Mine made about 445 untuned with no headers (catless exhaust and CAI only). Blaines truck (SVTFreak) is within about 10WHP and 10WTQ with no headers on a dynojet.

Those runs are on M+H drag radials, stock tires went 12.06.

Sorry for all the questions, just curious why the #'s are low. If the truck made 400whp baseline then thats fine, but most are making more stone stock, thats why im curious.
