SRT10 differences

This is kind of getting off topic now, but IMO the 06 front end does not look good on any of Dodges trucks and the 06 interior is not as nice as the 04/05. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't trade mine for a new one, no way.:eek:
 
the 06 front end reminds me of my durango front clip. But its only my opinion. And you know what they say opinions are like noses everybody has a different one.
 
heh if it wouldn't have been for the '06 facia upgrades i wouldn't have bought one :)

the main reason i switched to dodge from f*** in the first place is when i bought my 03 1500 i fell in love with the interior. it's just so clean looking and thats a pet-pieve of mine. imo the 06 interiors are too boxy and the color is hideous. you couldnt pay me enough to trade for a 06. but thats just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more.To my opinion the '06 front is hideous.
 
i love the interior color on the 02-05 rams. but the nav system and purpusly made 2 seat layout is alot better in the 06.

if they made that nav system in the 04-05 srt10s, id be looking for that rather than an 06
 
I have actually used the nav one time since I bought the truck new. It's kind of neat but not something the would impact a choice of purchase for me. :dontknow:
 
the 06 interior is uglier (as many have said) but I sure wish I had the heated seats in my 05! I miss the ones I had in my Audi S4.

ahh, but i do alot of driving, often into unfamilure areas. a big nav screen with an easy to use system is a must for me
 
Wow.. lots of pre-'06 guys trying to justify their dated truck looks! (I KID, I KID!! -but you know i am right!) :D

I'm actually posting on this topic about the navigation.. I'd honestly recommend you get the truck that appeals to you most.. don't do it for it's nav package. I have a Garmin Nuvii 660 that blows the fricken doors off of my '06's nav package.. plus it fits in your jacket pocket to be moved to any of your vehicles.. Go that route!

Oh.. just wanted to add that the nuvi both transmits on it's own speaker or it has a built in FM modulator to play through the truck's stereo.. also has the FM traffic alerts that allow you to bypass congestion/traffic in the bigger cities, and holds a gazillion mp3s.. ok i am done now

Looks like most items are covered...

The 06's have hydro formed frames and weigh a little more than the 04/05's. Have heard rumor that the suspension in the 06's have subtle differences but dont the details.

Taste /preference is a very highly subjective thing.( for instance,I believe BLACK to be the most appealing and the fastest :D )I have to agree about the NAV,it shouldn't even be a factor.And a portable can be used in any vehicle,I hadn't thought about that. You have to buy what YOU like.

Yes the 06s upper control arms are large steel units, the 04-05s are aluminium.

Late to Mid 05, All the CE''s have the new wing, and all 06's came factory with a tonneau cover.
