Stage II PCM what octane

Aren't the stage II PCMs from DC programed for 91 octane??? Has this always been the case??

Not sure. I always run 93.

Stage 2's were designed for 93, but DC modifies the parameters (read timing) for 91..

You can't get 93 at the pump in California, so I figured it was 91 My truck is pinging bad with the stage II using 91. Anyone else had this problem????

Just call Dan and talk with him........he'll make it work properly.

i use torco race fuel additive, stops the pinging I didn't want to pull timing.

Dan at DC dialed back the timing a little and the thing runs GREAT now! What a difference... having the stage II not working perfect, going back to stock and now having the stage II dialed in!!! What fun! Thanks for taking care of me Dan, GREAT service!!!
