The hose to the steering pump does not have a clamp, but rather is a pop in connector. This can leak, causing our steering fluid to get low. The first sign is the steering seizes up when it rains, and later a horrible sound as you turn the wheel. There is NO warning light for low steering fluid, so you have to check it on regular basis. The dealers do not understand this, and will sell you a brand new steering pump gladly. Fortunately, the regular viper hose is the same size, and any competent performance guy can swap one out for you when yours leaks, which it will!
