Somebody posted a thread about their wife blowing up the home stereo last month, not sure but I remember you guys talking about some high end stuff. Well my POS costo Pioneer special has been f#cked up since our earthquake back in Oct so I finally replaced it. My neighbors gig is high end installs of stereo's, tv, lights etc.....in high dollar homes. Well he sold me a Integra DTR 4.6 AV Receiver at a very discounted price....very cool of him. Well tonight he came over to "tweak" it for me!!!!! OMG what a difference. I now have 5.1 surround for my music and DVD's!!! Guys, this is so cool.....it sounds so freaking awesome!!! He had it at 101 decibels (he had a meter) and it was awesome!!! I am lucky all my other neighbors enjoy loud tunes as well!! LOL

"Sounds" like a great system!!!:thrasher::rock::thrasher: Barump bump!

I just finally upgraded my home system too, sort of.

I have a Pioneer at home with Bose 301's that I bought at the Navy exchange back in 19... yeah, it starts in the 20th century ...90!
The whole thing still sounds great, but it was time for a change. So, last weekend the wife and I were at the Bose Outlet store and I convinced her to sit through the demo.

Long story short, we ended up buying a Bose 3.2.1 GPX System for the house! It's a factory rebuild so it was discounted!

I can't wait to take it home and set it up!!!

Probably won't be as nice as the system you got Patrick:rock:, but I am stoked just the same!

Very cool Patrick  Used to be in to home audio/video quite a bit but family (the truck is family, at least according to my Fiancee' :D ) obligations have put it on the back burner. Still have a decent hometheater setup though ;)

Very cool! Should have you over one day to listen to one of the JBL Synthesis systems, they can crank out 140db
To put that into perspective 150db can make your heart skip a beat.
5.1 is great, that unit should do DTS and DTS/ES as well, with the right speaker placement and the correct tunning(sounds like you have that already thanks to your neighbor) it will really blow you alway , the imaging is unreal!!

There is nothing like hearing and seeing a movie the way it was intended!! Certain movies are absolutely UNREAL, I have 'Bass Shakers' they mount under the floor and actually shake the floorboards, for a more real 'feeling' experience. They were cheap too, only like 150 on ebay.

Yep thats what the neighbor did...........I got shit hitting me from every angle!!! Its amazing!!! My speakers are ancient, two Akai (coffin sized) and two JBL's in the rear. Neighbor thought they sounded fine, told me not to upgrade.....and if he said they were ok, I believe him. He installs the most insane systems in very very expensive homes. His company is so busy they dont take any business under $100k!!!!:dontknow: Maui is full of rich f#ckers living in houses in the $5 to $10 million range......its crazy!!!

Rock on dudes.........I'm gonna make my ears hurt!!!! LOL:D
