wontgrowold, you can also contact your local authorities. Taking money for an item and not receiving that item falls under Larceny of Theft (depends on the state you live in). The crime is compounded by the fact that you used a credit card, it now amounts to credit card fraud in addition to the larceny. It does get a little tricky because you did receive the tickets and they turned out to be no good. The authorities could chalk it up to a civil dispute over the merchandise received even thought the tix were no good. Also the jurisdiction of the investigation could be the origin of the victim or the offender so you could report this to you local Police and let them decide if they feel it is civil or not. Even though the Credit Card Co. said they were taking care of it, more then likely they wont report it criminally due to the amount of the fraud. As the victim, it's up to you to report this and get an investigation going and in the off chance the Credit Card Co. is persuing the matter, they will let the Police know when they contact them for additional info. The cool thing about credit card companies is that their investigators are usually top notch (usually former Police Officers). I would go to your local PD in person with all your receipts, the tickets and any E-mails between you and the seller and make the report informing the investigating officer that you already reported it to the Credit Card Co. Then casually let the seller know of the situation with the additional "F*ck You" in there somewhere!! It will only take you a few minutes and the satisfaction you get will be great.
