I've been doing some searching on the site and have found that the GF and X-Metal lowering kits have issues. Seems like the X-metal is the best but has issues with "bouncy" front shocks and requires "widening" of some holes. I'm also concerned about issues with
Looking forward to seeing Stinker's kits and options to see what they include, etc. Stinker, do you have a vender section or how can I find out what is available, etc?
Also, I have an RC....do I need to be concerned with a bump steer kit, pinion angel, bump stops, end links? Looking for a good all in one kit.
thanks,
Jim
All I can say is this bo, the bounciness you refer to is in relation to the spring, the shocks only can give a ride control.
I had a few members that were complainin of having to run there QA1 shocks at full compression to slow the bounce, this would in turn relate to the rate of the spring, not the shock
(sorry , real tired you might have to read into my explination

)
So what I did was take a bone stock spring, send it to a manufacturer, they shortened it, and made it twenty percent stiffer, the ride will be firmer, but hopefully no more bottoming out, Hot ram put his today and so far loves them, they lowered it almost an inch and a half. I also am gonna use a different style bump stop, one that is cushioned instead of a hard poly.
My kit is a custom spring, so not too much in stock , they make them individually to my order.
My kit will contain
One kit will be without shocks,
blocks, u bolts, bump stop, springs.
with 2 inch or less blocks, you really dont have to buy shocks
the others will come with a nitro shock, a chrome shock, a adjustable shock and a chrome adjustable shock( oh and shocks are shocks soooooo all shocks do wear out eventually)
I will run a intro for about 2-3 weeks maybe starting monday, but my highest priced kit intro priced w chrome adjustable shocks will only be about $20 more than a competitors
the kit without shocks............less than $400
you wil also get a choice of block size.
but after the first initial buy , they wiill all go up in price
To have a complete kit, you need to get with Justin for his adjustable sway bar links. And to have the ultimate in handlin I do suggest the QA1's from Justin also.
the springs you can buy separate as with all the parts of the kit, so if you want something different from what you have , it will be available.
Guys I'm whooped
I kno I forgot summin, but sure it will come out
