"I'll give youdetails on how I do it and so far it works well..

first fill the bottle with fluid, leave the cap off,

put a small containor under the bleed screw to catch the fluid, and open the bleeder fully, let it drain out until the resevior is almost empty, fill and let it keep draining,
when it is almost empty again, close off the bleeder.

then have a person inside, ( and he is themost important part) SLOWY! I cant stress thatenough! very very very slowly , depress the pedal about 4 times. then while the pedal is depressed , open the bleeder, and BEFORE it finishes, close the bleeder.

do this a half dozen times after all the air has escaped and see if this helps

but do not release the pedal or depress it quickly! it will cause the fluid to cavitate and cause air bubbles in the system , and you will bleed forever to get them out"

MY QUESTIONS IS:

After you let it drain out by gravity for a half hour do you top it off, put the rubber seal and cap back on and then proceed to slowly pump clutch and bleed? Or is this all done with the cap off?

I bought this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Phoe...Z350327241911QQptZMotorsQ5fAutomotiveQ5fTools

No need for a second person, and guaranteed no air bubbles. You actually reverse bleed the clutch from the bleed screw up, it pushes all of the air up and out. Money well spent IMO. Cuts the work in half of the time. It actually takes longer to prep and lift the truck than it does bleeding the clutch.

i saw those. well what about the normal way? do it with cap on or off?

followed directions to a T then installed the rubber and cap and pumped the pedal...nada...no pressure at al. How can I trouble shoot this before I go buy a new slave?

leave the cap on the resevior off, but let it gravity feed for a bit, then close the bleeder, then pump up slowly from someone inside, as they hold down the pedall, open the bleeder jsut enough to let the fluid and air out,
do this a few times unitl you start to get pedal,

my number is in the sig buddy

I learned this the hard way. It took me about a week before I finally got it right. :dontknow: But in the end I sure did learn't.
