Is the stock perch/plate welded? If so, it seems like it would have to be cut off to be removed.

Could I install it, get it all bolted/torqued down properly, and then take it to a welding/muffler shop to do the welding?

I agree with the others that feel the truck is really high stock, but I'm used to a lowered (but not slammed) truck.

yes, hold on let me see if I can post a pic of the instructions for you:D

it may take me a minute or two, so hold tight

here is some of the instructions, I had pics of the destruction the other style can do , but they must be on the other computer

Now also it needs to be welded very well, a regular wire welder at a muffler shop want do;) someone that does welding for a living, and knows penetration is the person you need to use bo

shouldnt have a prob in tx:) check a local commercial truck garage, usually they have someone that is top notch as a welder, sometimes a muffler shop does, but most of the time they have wire welders, an they may not get enough penetration into the weld;)

The truck looks outstanding. I have the same type of rake on my L, and I love it. The front of your truck at 7" off the ground is 2" higher than what I'm used to in my "other" truck, so that won't be a problem for me.

But on Stinker's website, there is an installation comment about the rear needing some "welding, that should be done by a professional." What is that about?

I've installed a number of lowering kits on cars, and done two trucks. What is involved in this install? I can't weld, nor do I have the tools, and I'm certainly not going to tackle my first welding job on something this important.

A simiple install explanation would be helpful.

Thanks!

Also, where did you get the black wheels? Are they OEM Nighrunner wheels? I think they would look excellent on silver.

Thanks!

The install is easy as they say. Just bot it down real tight and make your way to a welder.

The wheels are powdercoated. I am not a chrome person :D

If you have any other questions let us know. It was well worth the price, and like it was said before very family friendly!
