Stock CTS V 11.9 Quarter

Just read this on the CTS V forum...

"I just heard on Speed TV that there will be a CTS-V presence in the 24 hrs at Daytona come Feb 4th. In the same segment, they talked a little about the Camaro's return, filling the void left by Pontiac I'm guessing. Most interesting of all I heard was that there will also be a pair of BMW M6's running along side the normal flock of E92's, but the M6's will be powered by a V8,... not a V10. I wonder if this is the new V8 mill M will be replacing their current V10 with in the upcoming M5's & M6's."

Wow...my daily driver running at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona...now that is too Kewl!

My Wife's car runs at Daytona (RX-8).... but, it's still a turd.

I'm not a huge fan of the new CTS-V Coupe. The pics just don't look right to me. Maybe if I see it in person..... :dontknow: I love your 4-door's design. :rock:

It's funny how manufacturers dabble with the V-10 setup, then always go back to a V8. Is there a lesson there? .... Not sure.

I have not seen the coupe either Jake...but the Chicago Auto Show is next month...I hope they have one there. I am hoping that Wil (Manic) and his girl friend will be spending some time with us during the Auto Show!

I am pretty excited about seeing the CTS V at Daytona...what a rush that will be!

My Lingenfelter mods have my V at 630...I guess I am going to have to get it to the track just to know for myself what it will do. Lingenfelter says 11 50's...that would really surprise me.

Kyle, I have had the CTS V for about 16 months now. It is the most responsive vehicle I have ever had. It out performs anything I have ever driven. I had a Porsche and it was chopped liver compared to the CTS V.

Hilgee just bought one too...I bet he is in love with it.

The LSA engine, with my Lingenfelter mods, is very close in performance to the ZR1 with the LS9. I am getting 14 lbs of boost and the LS9 Corvette only get 11. But there is a lot of weight difference.

Fit and finish are incredible...handling is only about 1000 times better than the truck. The computer assists are very important...with the Stability Track off, it is a pretty evil beast...but there are three settings...

The transmission selections are fun but not really functional...I just use the sport automatic...can't shift as fast as it does, and the paddle shifters are a little sluggish.

Suspension has two different settings, touring and competition...I leave it in touring...but the competition setting really stiffens it up a lot.

I love it...can you tell?
