Will it fit? I like the look of the stock handle and the shiftyness of x-metals shifter itself. I did an search and could not find anything. I'm sure I could make it fit with some retrofitting but I wanted to get some input before I start tearing into it. Cheers.

Not sure if it will fit or not, but if not Gary can machine it to fit, I have the hurst T handle on my first gen shifter and it works fine, I tend to like the T handle more:burnout:

from the conversations Gary and I have had about the shifter, the stock handle will not fit on the gen 4

I saw one of those (Hurst T handle) at Napa and was wondering if it would fit. The stock ball is getting boring. Might have to pick it up.

I'm assuming your talking about the aluminum lever. I think it does fit but dont take my word for it. If your talking about the shift knob, I know for a fact that it does fit. If you get Gary's shifter, the lever that comes with it is WAY better and badder looking than stock. IMO

I asked Gary that question once. Nope, won't work.

Now as Hot Ram said, it can probably be made to fit, but that does not guarranty that it will work well. That is a chance you would have to take.

Thanks guys I will just leave the xmetal shifter lever be. I don't want to start hacking on both setups to make it work.
