Well I was called by the investigator <~~~~ oxymoron mind you
it is 3 1/2 days later and he asks if I know what happen to my truck.
I said yes someone stole it and with the response time they gave on
this one the truck could have been driven slowly to California. He asked if I had talked to any of my neighbors and what had they seen. You got to be
kidding me. I have came to the conclusion if it doesn't fall out of the sky and
hit someone on the head my trucks gone.
Next question: you sure it was YOUR truck that was stolen? :argh: :argh:

sorry bro

One other flaming liberal thought...

My truck is highly modified and in the wrong hands possibly lethal...

I wonder about my liability if I do not take steps to avoid its use by an inexperienced driver...in this day of getting sued for everything and anything...hmmmm.... note to self: Ask daughter to research my legal position...

i have a friend that lives over by Orange ,,his son was driving down a back road ,,,and a freaking cow came out the ditch out of no were and totaled the truck ,,it was a ford so no big deal right ,,,anyhow ,,,the guy that owned the cow is now sueing him for his son mowing down his cow ,,,,,

two years before,,, that son had a lightning that was stolen they found it after it was crashed into the side of a hair salon in the 5th ward all the way in houston,,,,the crazy women that own the place could not sue anyone to fix the raggy ass shop they had so they sued his insurance company and won ,,,they told him he was lucky cause if they would have asked for more than insurance covers he would be liable for the rest of the amount ,,,then his insurance company dropped him ,,,,,WE NEED TORT REFORM

You don't want it back, get a new one.

If those are the kind of questions the investigators are asking they aren't going to catch shit unless the guy who stole it comes in, parks it in there lot, hands them the keys, and sits himself down in their jail cell demanding to be arrested.

Well they never found it "if they ever looked". It has been written off. Time to move on. It was fun while it lasted. Looking at a twin turbo Lightning for the money its hard to turn it down. See-ya guys around

One of the greatest assets of living in the US is ability to bring a case in front of the courts to try to obtain some form of resolution when conflict arrises that creates a loss for one of the parties. We do not need tort reform. Tort reform will not eliminate nuisance cases. If it did, you would not be able to bring a legitimate case to court and would have no recourse when someone screws you out of your life savings, detroys your property, or even rips you off on a product you bought (who would risk bringing a $500 small claims case to court if there were penalies that could be imposed if the court finds that your case has no merit (one persons opinion)). Almost every one of the highly publicized cases that get under your skin have either been completely fabricated, or the pertinent details have been left out so that it incites rage in the reader. So, guess who is leading the charge for tort reform? The insurance companies. And, the part they are pushing is caps on the award amounts, not the reduction of false cases. These items are being pushed by companies that provide all forms of insurance, medical, auto, home owner, etc. The insurance companies would rather pay out and settle on a $2000 nuisance claim than spend the money to fight it, but they don't want to pay a legitimate $50,000 claim.

Of all the cases that people have sent me or asked about, I have never seen any court documents that support the details that were told in the story. The details documented in the court cases always tell a completely different story. A perfect example is the McDonalds hot coffee spill law suit. If you guys are really interested, I can post the details of what really happened during that trial.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled truck theft thread....
