Strange encounter

I live in a small town about 20,000 people. I take my 04 SRT-10 to town on the weekend to cruise and race once in a while.I have raced lots of Mustangs, L's, and Camaro's but never this. Last night I was rolling up the 4 lane when beside me comes a Ford 3/4 ton truck with a diesel in it. When he got beside me he looked over and smiled real big and I heard him floor it. I just couldn't resist so I down shifted and floored mine as well. I waxed his ass by about 5 truck lengths to the next red light witch was about 100 yards or so. He followed me to the turn and pulled over. He thought I had a Hemi. He said he had smoked several Hemi trucks in the past and was shocked when I beat him so badly. He had a 165 H.P chip with 280 ft/lb extra torque. He said he wanted to try me again a a couple of weeks when he gets his new chip installed. He said it should put him to 825 ft/lb torque. That should really make that truck a monster. I will let you know if we meet again. I guess I will count this as another KILL since he was serious about the race.

Yea there are a few oil burners around here that can lay the smack down. Its amazing to see a 6 speed 6500lb 3/4 ton 4x4 deisel running 12.6's. 850rwhp and 1200ft lbs helps though

I've seen them run low 12's at the track.....but they have no top end......

Watch out man, some of those diesels with chips and other goodies are fast! Oh and another thing make sure you keep your windows closed when you race him, you don't want all that smoke coming in your truck.

man i have seen a lot of smokies run at our local track...but never any in the low 13's let alone 12's! I'm sure they are out there though! my friend in Seattle has an F350 w/ 900+lbs of torque. He took me for a ride and the whole truck shakes like crazy when accelerating. Not to mention he can power brake w/ 40" tires!

I've seen some chick out here run at Bremerton Raceway with her oil burner. They won't let her stage on the upwind side when she races. It's her daily driver and she runs 11.8, but I have no other info than that. Seen her race twice last year. Everyone laughs when she pulls up to race in Pro class, but then they all look stunned when she runs an 11-second race. WATCH OUT FOR THE SMOKIES!!!

You got to watch out for them diesels, my nephew has a pre-computerized (don't know what year) Dodge that I would NOT race...it is bad ass.

Watch out for us diesels......my dually, which will be for sale shortly, (I'm getting something bigger, Kodiak ) is quite fast, think it would be a good run vs the SRT. I've done a bunch of motor work, 90lbs injectors, AEM intake, Super Bee Turbo w/4" down pipe, 4" dual MBRP exhaust, ATS exhaust manifold, ATS stage 4 tranny and Edge module. Need to dyno it but should be good for 400+ HP and 850-900lb/ft torque. Pulls the trailer quite well!
He's prob got a 97 or older, 12valve which you can do some cool stuff to with just a basic fuel pressure regulator.

Yeah its not to shabby, fun to screw with guys in Mustangs and Vets. You know the Mustang guys get pissed when a big ass dually kicks his ass, LMAO!!!
But its time for a bigger truck, since I got the new trailer and SRT-10 its a lotta extra weight so the Kodiak will be nice, and of course I'll have to tweak this one too. Already have some plans, Edge module again, thinking dual 5" stacks and a few other goodies.....time will tell.

Hahaha, that's one of my favortie things to do, blow black smoke in open windows, espically when they are being stupid or cut me off, as soon as I catch up, watch out!!! The only down to mine is its geared for pulling, 4:10s so I top out at about 104mph but she pulls hard all the way up.
