My truck from brand new had the skunk smell. I really don't know what it is . It has gotten better. I have chaulked it up to oversprays, paint coatings, and any other new surface that gets hot during break in period. I have no leaks . Truck runs great. No smoke. Smell is just barely noticeable now. (I think the Mexicans shit in my upolstery):burnout:

Re-check your belt alignment. If it's not centered on the pulleys, it could be rubbing and maybe that's what your smelling.:dontknow:

I hope that you are not confusing a skunk smell with a burnt clutch smell...it is the very worst smell there is...but only after you know what it is...back into your garage slowly using your clutch...if you smell it then...it may be time for the centerforce/fidanza/viper slave and master cyl...

Hope not.

Super! I hope it is a skunk! Cheaper by far! Have you checked to be sure none of your ignition wires have slipped off their clips and have been burned by the exhaust manifold?

I hope your all happy, now I'm going downstairs to look inside the engine compartment! You couldn't leave well enough alone. Its all fun and games till somebody gets hurt!:burnout: P.S. what's a skunk?

same smell, know exactly what you are talking about. just got the truck back from dodge, where a new belt and UPDATED crank pulley was put on, and a 32point inspection was done, but they found nothing wrong with it. cut your losses and drive fast enough the smell cant follow
