This is why we should resist the urge...which I have been guilty of....This guy's brother ownes a 2006 SuperBee...he was the one that welded in mids and removed the O2 sensors...........I have also been told the person in the Corvette was the Mustang driver's dad...not sure....but knowing the family I dont doubt it.....this happened locally here..

I have to say I have no problem with folks that hurt themselves doing anything. It's when innocent bystanders are hurt that I take issue with something. Looks like that wasn't the case here at least. I hope he has a full and speedy recovery, and maybe learns a lesson too.

How about those innocent bystanders car that got smashed.
I would be one unhappy camper to come out and find my truck smashed up by some knot head screwing off.

You got a point there, hadn't thought of that.

I *heard* that the mustang was one of the GT500's. not that it makes any differnece.

Must have money to burn to give a 22 year old a GT500 Mustang.

His insurance company going to have a field day. His premium going to be so high, he might as well be paying for all the damage himself.

So, technically, does the Corvette get the win?:dontknow: ;)

Wish I could find the article, hell I can't even remember where I read it,but two cars drag racing when another pulls out in front of the Mustang !!! The Driver of the car that pulled out was killed !!It was the Mother of the Mustang Driver !!!How'd you like to live the rest of your life with that ??? Can't say I don't play, but am careful where and when !!

That kind'a shit only happens to people who are reckless .......... ;)

D

So, if you're NOT reckless it's okay..:D

No just joking.. I can bet anyone who decides to street race and things take a turn for the worse WISH they hadn't in the first place; :dontknow:if they survive. I'm not innocent, I've been known to play from time to time, and, although I was careful where and when it was always technically dangerous. I've learned to just drive slow, conserve gas and look good doing it. The last thing I need is a life altering event that could wreck someone else's life other than my own.

Thats a bad deal. Have you heard how the driver is doing?

Last I heard his condition is serious........talked to the guy that bought my former Charger SRT8...he said this same guy came up on him on the same road the day before the wreck trying to get him to race...Phil rolled his window down to tell him he would meet him at the track this coming weekend but the Mustang wouldnt roll his window down...just kept reving his engine..

That car has the GT-500 stripes and wide back tires, those cars are not for amateurs.

So it isn't a Mach 1?

I used to do alot of street racing and still from time to time dabble a little , but at the right time, but never is really the right time.

what made me stop was in my bike days, after a watched a guy loose his arm, and two more loose there lives, very close friends.

But we bought these trucks because of one thing, the raw power they have under the hood, and almost everyone tries it out.

Just think before you do;)
