Streetable HP?

What would be a nice streetable HP? I have decided I have to much power for the streets. Spinning the tires on dry pavement at 50 MPH while cool, also sucks. I have to feather the throttle when ever I go more then 1/2 the way down on the pedal. So I'm going to put in some smaller waste gate springs or get a Boost controller. Just trying to figure out what would be a good number for HP/TRQ on the streets?

for me 600 on street is plenty. boost controller will do you wonders ask dom.

just sold my last ams 1000 it is the shit bein able to have another 400 hp at your disposal :burnout:

very simple to install and there are a few elecltronic boost controllers that have 3 or more settings for on the fly If you got the dough go with the one dom has or look at apexi best bang for the buck. But if I do decide to go to turbo set up the 1000ams that dom and a few others have is what I will go with. Just my opinoin. I put the apexi into one of our work trucks they work good.

Electronic boost controllers are fairly easy to install and set up. I had a 2 stage in my Jetta set for cruise and kill, just push a button.

Even at 595 rwhp my truck was a bitch to launch and shift...especially thru the 2 and 3 holes.... It it afterall a truck......

That's why Vettes make such good use of traction control under full power.... Yer either gonna burn up your tires or eat up your clutch... Something has to absorb the forces put out by a bit bigger hp motor...

But I agree with others that somewhere around 600rwhp is very streetable.

I felt that I had Django2 at a perfect place for max longevity and good fun.

There are a lot of good electronic boost controllers out there. I have the Greddy on my TT300ZX and love it. I can switch from low to high boost by the push of a button. Another good thing, dyno tuning for each boost output.

Even in the stock form, these truck spin 1-2. 500hp and an empty truck bed doesn't help. I think a good daily driving HP would be 650-700 range, but your still going to have 1-2 issues.
