id paint them on before i would use vinyl, the rest would fade and whats under the vinly will still be shiny, it happens on our big trucks in less than a year, and they are basecoat clearcoat too.

You do have a valid point.... But, most competent body shops can recondition the paint (wet sand, and buff out) any fading issues. :dontknow:

true, but factory clear is so thin on these it would be east to burn through the clear, especially with wetsanding, only one guy around here id even think about letting do that to mine

I have the same color truck and I have considered black stripes with red pinstripe to outline it and make it pop from the dark gray. I'm in the exact same position...not sure what color to go with. Black seems like the way to go but I worry it will not be very noticeable so what's the point. Red would be pretty cool too. When you get it done post some pics so I can copy you. LOL

How about inferno red stripes? And while its @ the body shop will you fix that big hole in the rear bumper?? You remember that one thats under your shiny new step hahah.
