Here's the flyer my boys at SGMP came up with.
Now, don't freak out about the "arm drop" moniker. I know there was some scepticism about this from a few. Here's the deal; SGMP is trying to get and actual street stop light installed by the time of our event. If that is in place, the "grudge" classes will be ran utilizing this. It's easy to understand and makes it more like a common street race. It will also operate in conjuntion with the timing gear so your times will be just as if we used the tree. IMHO, it actually sounds like a lot of fun. Can't really argue that you aren't familiar with a traffic light either. (Well, with the possible exception of some of the GA. guys...lol)
If the traffic light thing doesn't work out, I'll post a poll and let you guys decide the method of start. SGMP has done other races that are similar to ours (mostly street vehicles not driven by dedicated racers) and the events using the arm drop method have been a lot of fun and quite successful.
Give me some feedback and LMK what you all think.
