Not sure what that had to do with an STS turbo, but I guess the success rate is about the same

Forget the forum rules, I thought we had a gentlemen's agreement that we wouldn't do stuff like this except in the offensive category. :dontknow:

As far as the STS thing goes, I have a lot of experience with it. If any one has any questions, PM or email me and I'll be happy to talk you out of it...er...I mean...uh...talk to you about it.

My bad. I didn't consider the web site it was on, only the video with the metaphor about the STS. I've got the website content blocked/scripted out, so I don't see anything but the video. But knock yourself out and buy a STS.

No problem, sounds like an honest mistake. Most of the folks here know all about me and STS.

BTW, welcome home Patrick...and Jack too! Hope you had a great trip.

I'm not an owner or operator of the STS, however I was privy to STS fuel work on a SRT-10 RC and the associated boost and fuel issues with it. Not for me really to comment on. However, in my opinion, I would defer to the Paxton or Roe SC (if they ever finish it). In addition, I run NOS, but would definitely love to have a SC instead. With a good tune, I wouldn't worry about the day to day ops on a SC. However, throwing the NOS switch always tightens the sphincter, both for nerves and morale.storm1.gif

Number 3 is a popular casualty. Sorry to hear that.

Nobody hear will touch it, we all have heard too many stories.

Ah yes, the #3 cylinder failure club. Its been several months (maybe a year) since anyone has joined that club. Like others have said...ITS ALL IN THE TUNE!!

Can you give some more info on the failure. How much boost were you running? Info on the tune? A/F? Did you notify Rick Squire? And how was the boost referenced (i.e. where did the waste-gates hook up to)?

I'd take a wild guess, and say that the system was installed with no program loaded into the mini-VEC. 200 miles is about all I got before #3 piston failed.

This system can work. I just don't think it can work with the engine management and fuel enrichment that it comes with without doing some tuning and troubleshooting.
