studded motor

Has anyone here studded there motor before? What does it involve. Iv never studded a motor let along ours.

Any tips suggestions?

Head studs or main studs? Why do you feel you need to?

Head studs sir. With all the power that its gonna be making in the next couple I figure its better to do it now while its tore apart already

I did a couple but didn't have any concerns with studs bottoming out. I have heard in some cases you have to cut the studs so they don't bottom out. I don't know if this is the case with our engines.

Just buy the ARP kit and follow the directions, that works well for 99% of the guys out there.

I used the arp kit on mine with no issues

the ARP kits and a bottoming tap is all you need. just use the tap to clean the threads that arent used by the head bolts and the studs will screw all the way down. Get the ARP studs for the gen 2 they are the same.

I have them in my engine and have no issues! If you plan on going FI or NOS its a little insurance and helps prevent head gaskets from letting go!!:rock:
