I got hail damage on my truck late last year, and have just now began noticing how crappy of a job they did.

1. My driver side window has a teeny crack, and I can hear wind in my truck with all windows/doors closed on the drivers side at cruising speed.

2. Overspray on my truck, will try to take care of it with a buffing/waxing

3. They reused the tacks to put up the flame thing on the underside of the hood, and so it is hanging down because they naturally weren't meant to be reused.

So my question is, can I take care of the noise coming into my truck on the highway, and can I buy new tacks for the underside of the hood.

Thank you.

Any parts store should carry the black plastic push pins.

Check the door gasket on the driver door, they had a problem with them tearing on the lower front part that is attached to the body. There is a TSB to fix it, and if it's not under warranty it's not real expensive. Either that or the door is slightly out of alignment???

I think you meant your drivers side window has a tiny scratch. Because that is a tempered unit, and tempered units don't crack they explode into a million little pieces. The bad news is they are not standing behind their work.

Body shop

You should purchase the correct hood insulation clips from the dealer, often the universal clips from the parts store are the wrong diameter and will not support the insulation properly. As for the overspray I recommend using a overspray removal clay, It is a product that I have been using for about 15 years without any problems. This clay will only remove substances on the surface, overspray, industrial fallout etc. without removing any of the clearcoat. Several brands are available including 3M & Meguiar's, Use soap & water with the clay, wash & dry the vehicle then apply your wax, I clay my vehicles twice a year because they stay outside.
Good luck

I've got a nail gun you can try,to keep the insulator up where it belongs !!

Thats not true because I never would have believed it if I didn't see it because I was going to buy an 07 Dodge 3500 diesel last fall and the pass front door window was cracked.

Ram door glass

The new Rams have laminated front door glass, I think 06 or 07 was the first year. I have worked in a body shop for the last 28 years and have seen it all.

Make sure that little foam block is in place in the front A pillar.
That block is there to stop wind noise.

4" self tapping sheetmetal screws and large area washers will secure the hood insulation:laugh:

The 07 Ram has an option of front laminated door glasses. No SRT-10 ever came with them. And I don't think anyone would put them in an SRT-10 because they are very expensive.
