Subaru WRX How quick?

Bring your truck back to the dealer and have it checked then man because there's no way stock for stock a STI feels more powerful than a SRT-10... I've raced em, have friends with em and driven in em!! No way imo..

Thanks for the complement, it beats us tho! I just have turbo back exhaust on mine, but even stock its feels much more powerfull

Check this out and let me know what ya'll think. This STI almost took a Lamborghini Gallardo. They're quick little cars, but uncomfortable to drive...at least that's my opinion.

If you noticed...that STi was nothing close to stock. He reached into the trunk at the beginning obviously to open up his bottle cuz you can hear the purge 3 times before the race. His BOV also sounded upgraded either that or he was pushing more boost that increased the noise of the OEM BOV. Sounded like exhaust too(which may not mean much for us NA vehichles but turbo cars LOOOOVE it when you give them more feed from the exhaust).
This is just what I think but stock or relatively stock STi's dont stand a chance with us, but they can definately be made fast...but like the saying goes "You can make anything fast, it just depends on your taste and how deep your pocketbook is" :dontknow:

the wrx beats us?? the srt-10 .?? ummm not in Toronto or Florida they dont not sure maybe where you live they do.. ive raced 10 + of them not one has beat me yet.. raced 3 or 4 STI's .. they all lost.. some verry close but none beat me...

Uh, you're not stock, that is unless you're an L.

Stock to stock the numbers are very close, a driver's race. My kids race three STis and an Evo MR9. Just like my Jeep, they will tree an SRT-10 at the strip but the SRT-10 will catch up at the top end. They launch hard but the driver has to know how to stay in the boost with them. They definitely don't feel torquey after an SRT-10 but it's all about hooking up and they definitely hook up.

Still stock i have nos on the truck but not running yet , vec2 harness modified for cab install not in yet .. so still bone stock... but not for long ...

my old mans new vette feels tons faster then my truck,,,but it will run way slower in the 1/4

if you drive a go cart with a 125cc motor it will feel even faster:idea:

those little ugly riceballs are pretty fast but they dont last too long,,,junk in my opinion

I have seen one at the straight track...can't remember his time, but I was positive I could beat the one that was running. Probably stock...for sure not modded like the STI on Nx in the vid.
They do run well in autocross...that's where I've seen the majority of them.

Where did you get that info? :dontknow: Those little Subaru motors are bullet proof, developed from their Rally program. The bottom ends are extremely stout and well engineered. In fact, Dodge and the rest of Detroit could learn a lot from these guys. My kids are out on the road track, doing three to four sessions a day, running hard on 1 to 3 mile circuits for ten to twenty minutes at a time. They run cool with no oiling problems while sloshing through the turns as fast as possible. They have run at 15 or so events in the past two years and use the cars as drivers as well. That's a million times more taxing than occasionally making three or four 1/4 mile runs in an evening. The engines, suspensions, bodies, steering, etc. are still tight and require only routine maintenenace.

We have a bunch of them at our track. I have seen them run 14's and as fast as high 12's with really loud exhaust. Not sure if they were spraying or not.

To me, its a kids car. I'll take my big truck everytime faster or not.

LOL all races were before any mods started on my truck... and im sitll in the midle of installign it all so ints not even functional yet... dont even have the intake on yet...

I had a WRX race me from a roll tonight. We left the light easy, but then he hit it. I nailed the throttle, (it's a reflex, I couldn't help it) shifted into second and pulled on him by half a truck length. By third gear it was over due to traffic, but I am wondering how fast are these little cars? It was a closer race than I like. I don't think it was an STI, but it was shaved.

:burnout: .... the one I went-off with was sporting 19#'s/boost, and 417/rwhp.
He had me by two truck links out-of-the-hole, he held that until I was almost done with second.....just shifting into thrid I passed him :dancing: would have killed him top-end, but the race was at his level and he did real "GOOD".
So if you can't race more that two/blks. be prepaired to LOSE!

I dont like import's to much even find it hard like'ing the srt-4 but there are a few import's that i do consider rear cars that deserve respect.

I have a c5 that is stock other then short shifter and borla exhaust and to be honest it feels the same on speed as my truck which is bone stock.



So i would say stock our trucks could take or be very close to a sti even give up a few mods.

But for like 4k you can upgrade a WRX to insane amounts of hp , and they can be nasty.

I happen to like the look of the WRX and Sti the blue one with gold rims is my favorite.

To me they are on the high end of imports which is something i can respect.

A s2000 once jumped off the line at a light once with me......and of course I had to floor it too, and yes it was reflex. I had him before I even dropped it into second. At second gear I just pulled on him and put him at my back bumper. Shifted to third and let off. He did the ricer fly by move. :dontknow: Why do they do that?:dontknow: Only mod I could tell was exhaust, which was all I had at the time too.

At first I was dissappointed that I didnt blow him away, but then I found out those cars have a great hp to weight ratio.

opps read my post, meant real cars, not rear lol

but yeah the cars i listed are in lets say the money for the price range. S200 have some of the best ratio in its class, handling is amazing.

Its like the article i read on Neds page, the ls1 vette motor and viper motor put out allmost 1 hp per displacment, therefore a good dollar, kind what i meant in the cars above. They all stand out in there own rights i guess.
