Anyone had to re-adjust the 2nd gear band after a few hundred miles. Mine had a small hiccup at the 2-3 shift. They called Suncoast and they said it was very common and that it is merely the band settling and its normal....anyone had this? Its weird cuz that trannny has NO miles on it. Its prolly nothin but just thought I would ask.

I'm not surprised. If it happens again, then I would be concerned.

Not sure who did my tranny....it has a sticker on it...I need to crawl under the truck and see what it says....but no....my rebuilt tranny has not had this problem.

Could be Blake they had it long enough to do this..:(....BTW my girl should be home this week....I hope...everything is buttoned up and they are doing road testing to check everything out...:)

Why would a 2nd gear band effect the 2-3 shift...?...it would effect the 1-2 shift......

I am sure it is nothing but break in Blake......

speaking of that....man was I screwed up when I came back from being on the west coast for 14 days....JETLAG like a motherf'r...toook a week 2 get straight

I need to do the same thing to mine. I have a slight RPM flare in the 2-3 shift, 1-2 is great. They said it just needs adjustment. I was concerned about it at first too.

I didnt have that problem bro, must have been lucky....... AGAIN.;) But I still have the rpm bump on the 2-3 shift even after turning down the line pressure, and readjusting detent. Guess there is no way around it without turning down the shifts to 5700 or so... which sucks cause you give up about 20hp or so..... oh well. Mikey.... u got yours shifting earlier yet??

is this an adjustment that can be done at home? my tranny has been back from the dealer for a week and the 1-2 shift used to bark the tires but now it feels like im hitting the brakes when it shifts and three is a good 1/2 second lag. the 2-3 shift is OK though.

Bud sorry for going off topic...but didn't you say that your tranny was upgraded by the dealer?

Talk to Ron at Suncoast. Knows his Mopar transmissions.
