:( Last nite- I broke another Gunslinger Pistol Grip.

Drove home reaching through the console opening grabbing the shifter mounting block.......

LOL on another note - I can still bang gears this way:star: :burnout:

Back to the stocker again....

I am now leery of aftermarket handles....

He DID in fact send me one after te first one snapped. This is the replacement one that snapped in the exact same place as the first.....

He was suprised when I broke the first one.....now- with the second one I dunno. I really love the look and feel of this pistol grip, just wish it were stronger....

I also broke the first one after a few months. He sent one out no problem. I think it has to do with the narowness of the stock that is used for the handle. I have had no problems with this last one and have had it for almost 2 years. I have had it both solid mounted with the bushings and with the stock mount. I prefer the stock mount. I believe someone else cut there handle down a couple of inches and that helped the length of the throw. This would help the strength issue a bit too. Not as much leverage down in the mounting area.

Good luck...

Yea that was me. I shortened mine the distance of the bolt spacing. I drilled a hole above the top hole. That may be why mine hasn't broken. However I don't yank on it too hard either, guess I am getting old!

I just broke my second one too, he sent me another new one last week, this time i got one with smaller holes so i dont have to use the bushings. a lot more meat in this one.

eh, breaking shift knobs with ease I see. That has to take years and years of knob handling experience.

;)

The gunslinger handle is thinner that the old factory Chrysler pistol grip shifters, maybe you can ask Gunslinger to make a thicker one.

Bill.
