You will be sick, love sick...it's 4:54 am I just went out to peek at the Roe on the top of my engine...I wanted to start it, but was afraid my 84 year old Mother would ground me if I did.
Go for it, you will never, ever regret it.
"Whoop, whooop, whoooop, whoooooooooop!"
Dude -
Ever since you posted the pics of your engine and the dyno sheet, along with your explanation of how it feels and sounds, you've got my wheels turning - A LOT.
I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but Thanks. I think?
The Good:
It's Badass
The Sound.
The Power.
The Look
It's Badass
Waaay cheaper than the damn Viper I'd like to buy, and hardly ever drive.
The Bad:
Virtually no Traction in boost w/ stock tires.
Kiss the stock clutch goodbye.(Probably inevitable anyway:dontknow: )
For me - Trouble just waiting to happen. Though, as of now, I have no points on my license.
Always the possibility of engine/driveline problems w/ this much added power.
IF I decide to sell the truck (No, not considering it now, but who knows in the future?:dontknow: ), it'll be harder to sell with the SC installed IMO, and if I remove it and sell seperately I'd be lucky to get 1/2 of the original cost.
Years back I bought an Eaton Supercharger kit for my '93 Mustang Cobra. It was a mild system, and only $3,000. The car was a complete blast to drive afterwards, which was about equal to the ET/MPH I can run with my truck RIGHT NOW. I only put about 2,000 trouble free miles on it before I removed it and traded the car. Ended up selling the kit for $1,000.
I guess I just have this fear that with the SC, it'll have too much power and basically be a traction-less PITA on the street.
If you're cruising along in 2nd gear, and roll onto the throttle, will it smoke the tires, or is there at least some kind of traction?:dontknow:
Thanks.
