superchargers ...which one??!!

Think customer service. ROE has proven customer service, even when there was a major failure involved. JMB has proven customer service as well. Paxton has been less helpful for some of our users.
this is a good point...... you need good customer service to be there when you have "a major failure involved" for any power adder......;)

Come on guys you have all heard this one;) ROE ROE ROE your boat gently down the stream:D LOL! Sorry I couldn't resist:elefant: I love the Roe for looks and performance;) It's just alot cleaner under the hood than the paxton and not as crowded;)

Very true. But a police officer is not going to write a ticket for the SC. Go ahead and try him with a hooked up bottle.
never heard of such a thing..........:dontknow:

first, if you're being pulled over for street racing, you've got bigger issues than whether you're SC'd or Nos..... if they're looking under the hood for "violations", one's as bad as the other.....

I've said this all b4... but I'll say it again :D
1: NOS is great but there is no question it is NOT street legal... heck I don't even think it's legal in Japan :p
2: the Supercharger is great ... power always there when you need it and you don't have to worry about the popo
3: I didn't realize the Roe was <off road only> if you're in a smog state... consider the Paxton as I believe it's approved
4: I'm suprised you're not considering Justin's Turbo setup it seems pretty awesome and is probably the most flexible of all

best of luck to you:D

p.s. obviously it's best if you get a blower AND NOS :D ... of course prepare to start replacing things quickly...

where'd ya hear this, dale ???
Local speed shop. But you are right, I have not read it in the RCW's. Maybe they are mistaken.

True, if it is street racing you are already busted.
But if you are stopped for routine stop, and your bottle is visible...
The way I understand it, it is illegal to even be hooked up.

good to know, i guess i'll have to ask more questions & avoid being pulled over....... the second part may be hard to do.......:D

One more thing to consider. Who will do the install and tune? What are they comfortable with?

I'd be getting ready to start replacing things pretty quickly too if i was going this route. ;) My engine had the Roe with only 5.4 pounds of boost and it went boom, so i can only imagine what a Turbo could do.. :) It is an option to install the Turbo and firm up the bottom end but now your looking at 15K +...

With a built bottom and Nos your going to stay under the 10K mark for sure and maybe even under 8K if you do some work yourself.

My plan to avoid temptation is to only get tuned for NO2 when using race gas. That way the temptation to have it on the street is gone. I will just keep my bottle out of the truck until I go to the track.

Hmm, your Roe/Meth/VecIII is going to cost 7,300 (i have a bill to prove it :) ) without install.. and i'm sure the Paxton is around the same price. So for about that you can get a decent build, no 1000 HP bottom end motor although..
I think a paxton is a little more, you would want a heat exchanger.
But for $7k you could get striker heads/greg good heads & and a cam:D

I'm suprised there's any question as to whether n20 is legal or not:p ... just ask the next cop you see... I'm sure he'll say something like " You're kidding, right?" :p

no matter which route you go... building a new bottom end should be in your forseeable future:D

and yeah I think the paxton is a little more ... prolly a little more to install as well

 Damn straight, do the Stikers and Cam yourself tuning and dyno for $500 and you've got the makings of N/A beast. A little giggle on the side when you need to teach a Furd a lesson. :D

Sorry if i'm sounding all Anti-turbo/supercharged sounding but these motors just don't hold up with stock parts if you wanna take it to the track or play around on back roads... it's just a matter of time.

if what you're saying is true, i wonder why they wouldn't say SC'ers are illegal too....... all three are power adders of about the same hp/trq ?? or is it because of the explosive nature of nos ??:dontknow:

Its all good brother...I am just a speed freak, so I would go through a bottle of juice everyday:D
thats the only downside, if you could get nos power all the time with out the engine pressure and bottle refills it would be great & cheap!!!!!!:elefant:

Yeah, No2 is not a controllable product and i'm sure would require a TDG class to be used on the road, thus it would never be allowed on the Street, same as running Race Gas. Perfectly fine in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing...

justin's setup on a stock bottom end seems to be holding up & for ALOT less money:

No arguments from me. Justins system is a work of art, and it was tuned by one of the best. And you can not argue with his numbers both on the dyno and at the track.

The real question is how do you want to use the system. That will determine the right answer for a particular person.

I searched the state motor vehicle laws and found nothing pertaining to this. I think you've been misinformed.

I have had lots of people ask if it's illegal to have so much horsepower in a vehicle, and other nonsensical things. If your use of power adders is done in conjunction with something like eluding or racing, as said, that's where you're in trouble.

I suppose there could be a possible issue with transportation of a hazardous substance, but if it's in a DOT-approved cylinder...?:dontknow:
