Texas law states to transport Nx you need one of those "non-flamible gas" green squares...

For information nitrous is not explosive.

In the precence of combustion, nitrous releases free oxygen.

This allows more fuel to be burned, and thus more HP & torque to be made.
 
N2o is Legal.... just aksed my mom lol.. but then again if you do get stoped for street racing or speeding and your bottle is visable your going to more than likely get a ticket lol....the bottles i buy have the green square.. and from what i'v read and have asked cops about.. if you have your greens square your good... i have stickers on the bottom of my bottles.. but.... if i could go back... o well let me say this....

N2o- Cheap and Easy Route can gain anywhere from 30 to 150 HP depending on jets.. i'v got 600 bucks tied up in my system with a window switch and everything done right.. installed by me! -DownSides- if you keep your bottle in the bed...say a vette pulls up next to you at a light.. theres no asking him to wait until u can open it... its 40 bucks a filll up here......N2o is good if your on a power budget

Roe - Power Always there all the time Depending on boost prob more safe than nitrous...and if youv got 7 grand laying around i'd do it

Paxton- same as roe power always there... i just really don't like them.... i'v heard to many good things about roe


So Since i'm in a crunch and haveing to by a new motor the n2o is gone i won't run it anymore.. i'll be buying a Roe and an SCT tunner to tune it with....... and thats just my 2 cents

Can't comment to the transportation of NOS issue but the power adders are only illegal if they don't meet emission standards. It's an EPA thing. :burnout:

It depend's according to the state...It's illegal to have a functional NOS system in Virginia's Public Roads.....

only down fall to N2O if the fact it put alot of instant load or stress on the motor. the blowers have a constant load in a liniar fashion, N2O has what is called shock. once you hit the little button you get a huge shot of HP all at once. say you use a 250 wet kit and you dont run a ramp. you go from 400 hp to 650 in a instant thats when you start breaking. as long as you run on the fat side and you have good spark N2O is a great adder. you have to look at the cost issue, a paxton or roe system will cost about 9k with the install. if you do it your self you save about 1500. a good nx kit with all the goodies is around 2500 with out the install, now thats with the fiber bottle and purg lines along with all the electrical safties and ramp box. now its cheaper but now you have to fill the bottles all the time theres a good chunk of time because you have to drive to the shop drop off you bottle let them freeze it before they fill it. now your truck will also run rich like a pig unless you have a sct tuner or some other way of having 2 programs one for spray and one for everyday driving. ok so now that you have your bottle in and you want to run, step one change your program, open your bottle, purge your lines, oh yeah race if over because the guy with the blower had all his stuff set up and ready all he had to do is step on the throttle, oh yeah keep an eye on the bottle pressure other wise you will be down on hp half way through the race and your saftey device will shut the NX off and now you are runnin rich wasting your gas.

the motor problems have nothing to do with the n2o just for the one dude that asked that question i sucked a screw into my motor

If you have a window switch... most of them have a ramp built into them don't they?...... guess i should test mine out...

Thats why you gotta store the bottle under the passenger seat ala "Fast and Furious" so you can open it up while at a stoplight!!! LOL:D :rock: :burnout:

With everything I have read over the years..............my vote would be for the Roe with a SCT tuner.
