Well I picked up my hood and headlights today. To bad it's freeking snowing like a bitch here right now. I need to take my truck to my shop to install the hood. With the weather the way it is that might take a few days.

I will post picks as soon as I can.

Yes it's black. I had my painter do a few "extras" to the hood. He taped off the vent screens so they stayed silver, and he filled the seams on the inside where the screen panel is. He did a couple of other things as well, but I'm not going to say what they are until I can post pics.

I will say this, all the work he did cost as much as the hood, but it turned out flawless.

The painter Painted the hood today, finishing touches tomorrow, drop off truck Wednesday, pickup Friday ..... Picture time .... maybe a couple Friday evening the rest over the weekend.

Bee how'd you make out with the Carbon plugs for the vents ? Any luck?

They are really good salt of the earth people. But as much business as they have it slows them down. So many guys hang out just to BS, LOL, They even send me Christmas cards, and call to check on me.
I'm doing pretty well though, thanks.

LOL, just enough pull I guess, when you can get a $$$$ dollar paint job for $$$ its worth the wait:rock: I wish I could hurry it up, because it is killing me I got the hood almost 2 months ago, but I knew this would take awile, good thing its cold and crappy out or I would go nuts:argh: LOL

here is the story, a guy I work with goes to one of those tech "collage" ( I guess you would call it) for motorcycle mechanic, well they also have an autobody school at the same place, so they are the ones painting it for just the cost of paint, they have spent the last 2 weeks doing up my paint job I asked for on other hood till they get it just right, yellow is a hard color to do because it take many coats to get deep enough, but they do AMAZING paint work and I have seen i first hand, So I estimate I am paying for a 1000-1600 dollar paint job for under 400 bucks, thats if they do all that I asked. So hopefully my patience pays off with a sick a$$ paint job.:rock:
